The Olympic field continues to take shape as Great Britain announced its curling teams for 2026 Milano Cortina on Friday.
Bruce Mouat and Jennifer Dodds aim for another Olympic double as they were selected to compete in mixed doubles once again. Additionally, Team Mouat was picked for the men’s tournament and Team Morrison, featuring Dodds at third, will play in the women’s tournament.
Mouat and Dodds fell just short of the podium in mixed doubles during the 2022 Winter Olympics, finishing in fourth place, but neither left Beijing empty-handed. Team Mouat earned silver in the men’s tournament while Dodds captured gold with Team Muirhead in the women’s tournament.
Mouat is coming off a year for the books, claiming his second World Men’s Curling Championship gold medal in three years and becoming the first skip to win four Grand Slam of Curling titles in a single season. He also secured silver at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship with Dodds.
His men’s team includes third Grant Hardie, second Bobby Lammie, lead Hammy McMillan Jr. and alternate Kyle Waddell.
It’ll be the Olympic debut for Team Morrison’s fourth Rebecca Morrison, second Sophie Sinclair and lead Sophie Jackson, who handled skip duties last season. Fay Henderson serves as the team’s alternate.
Meanwhile, Team Gim is also bound for Italy after winning the Korean National Curling Championship.
Gim defeated Team Ha 7-4 in Friday’s women’s final.
The team features skip Eun-ji Gim, third Min-ji Kim, second Su-ji Kim, lead Ye-eun Seol and alternate Ye-ji Seol.
Soo-hyuk Kim’s club captured the Korean men’s title and will compete in the Olympic Qualification Event to secure a spot for the Winter Games.
Team Kim defeated Team Lee 11-5 in the men’s final.
Kim is supported by third Chang-min Kim, second Min-hyeon Yoo, lead Hak-kyun Kim and alternate Jae-ik Jeon.
Mixed doubles will kick off the action in Milano Cortina on Feb. 4. Here’s how the Olympic field is shaping up.
